I had a very disappointing experience just recently with Wendy's delivery service. We ordered a few items for delivery on December 25th, at around eight in the evening. As expected, we were informed that delivery will arrive in 45 minutes to an hour.
At around past nine, more than an hour after the call, we decided to follow up on the order just to know the status. It is, after all, Christmas Day. The operator relayed a message from the branch assigned to cater to our order (Dapitan branch), that the delivery has already left 10 to 15 minutes ago. OK, we figured, the Dapitan branch is barely 10 minutes away by motorcycle, and they probably had other people's orders on board, as well.
Past ten in the evening, still no word, so we followed up again. I knew something was wrong when the operator informed me that the branch manager would give us a call, and would not divulge to me the status of the order. We waited, waited, for the branch manager to call, but it never came. We basically wasted two hours waiting for nothing to arrive.
Contrast that to Greenwich's delivery service, whom we called up earlier in the afternoon. They had the sense to actually call back within 10 minutes that they are unable to service our area (due to the branch assigned to us was closed for the holidays, and other nearby branches reportedly unable to serve for some reason).
For the prices they charge, no matter how good their products are, they sure have bad coordination and services that day. To this day, I have no idea what happened to our Wendy's order.
